Operations Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the operational health, architectural intelligence, and cost efficiency of cloud environments.

• Cultivate and sustain a technical comprehension of the organization’s cloud architecture.

• Analyze the connections between architectural choices and cost influences.

• Detect cost irregularities, inefficiencies, and potential optimization areas.

• Create and manage dashboards to provide real-time insights into cloud cost trends.

• Assist in defining and enforcing cloud governance policies.

• Act as the primary contact for inquiries related to cloud costs and operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in cloud operations, cloud architecture, or a related technical infrastructure role.

• Expertise in Python, especially in data science and report generation frameworks.

• Practical experience with AWS or Databricks, with a strong preference for multi-cloud proficiency.

• Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures, including containerization, serverless computing, and distributed systems.

• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog, CloudWatch, or similar platforms.

• Capability to communicate technical findings clearly in both written and visual formats for executive audiences.
