This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Oversee and manage personnel to effectively implement the program throughout the state of Arizona.
• Provide direct supervision, direction, and daily assistance to the field-based Program Delivery and Engagement teams.
• Administer the master implementation calendar for various field engagement teams, ensuring efficient routing to educational sites.
• Maintain a detailed inventory of all program assets, which includes Celestron Nexstar 6SE telescopes and accessory kits.
• Organize the packing and advanced shipping of telescope kits to school locations, conducting regular quality control inspections at the Arizona storage facility.
• Act as the primary liaison for storage facility management and shipping carriers.
• Compile delivery team data into comprehensive progress reports for the Executive Director, monitoring state-wide participant demographics, equipment performance, and programming milestones.
• Supervise the maintenance schedules and compliance documentation for the program's GSA vehicle fleet.
• Create, implement, and oversee operational workflows, schedules, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders concerning operational needs.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
• A minimum of one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least grade 9 in the typical progression for this role.
• Demonstrated capability to lead remote or mobile teams and manage personnel across a vast geographical area.
• Experience and knowledge in inventory management and project coordination tools.
• Ability to comprehend astronomical equipment or delicate scientific materials.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from diverse communities, including teachers, administrators, and team members.
• Experience and understanding of the K-12 education system.
• Skills and knowledge related to communities of practice, professional learning networks, or educator support groups.
• Experience and knowledge in STEM fields, particularly astronomy/planetary science and/or telescope educational programs.
• Education obtained outside the United States must be recognized as equivalent to higher education programs from U.S. institutions.
