This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete accounts payable and accounts receivable operations.

• Track vendor payments, customer invoices, outstanding balances, liability settlements, receivable collections, and overall cash flow.

• Prepare journal entries, confirm tax coding, document accruals and prepaids, and ensure the accuracy of accounting periods.

• Reconcile general ledger accounts, cash receipts, deposits, revenue transactions, and financial records.

• Manage donation and charitable receipting processes.

• Assist ministry units by processing invoices, expense claims, deposits, and various financial transactions.

• Address accounting issues and respond to inquiries from ministry units, vendors, and external clients.

• Ensure compliance with financial policies, budget guidelines, approval authorities, and required documentation.

• Prepare audit schedules, supporting documents, financial reports, and accounting analyses.

• Develop and communicate business requirements, process documentation, recommendations, and solutions to facilitate decision-making and process enhancement.

• Provide support to Senior Accountants as needed.


⛳️ Requirements

• A completed university degree in Accounting or a related field.

• Two (2) to three (3) years of progressive experience in an accounting or finance setting.

• Capability to accurately perform complex account reconciliations, financial analysis, and journal entry preparation.

• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities while upholding accuracy and quality standards.

• Sound judgment and decision-making abilities when interpreting financial data and resolving discrepancies.

• High integrity, professionalism, and discretion when handling confidential financial and organizational information.

• Strong commitment to ethical practices, accountability, and adherence to established policies and procedures.
