Operational Security Lead – Cyber Vulnerability Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Overseeing cyber security operations and managing incident response initiatives.

• Taking charge of vulnerability management and remediation strategies.

• Directing threat intelligence efforts, security monitoring, and SIEM operations.

• Enhancing security controls for cloud and infrastructure environments.

• Conducting security assurance assessments and compliance evaluations.

• Managing risks associated with third-party security and incident response protocols.

• Leading Data Loss Prevention (DLP) initiatives and promoting cyber awareness programs.

• Offering security guidance to both technical and business stakeholders throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Cyber Security Operations, Security Engineering, Vulnerability Management, or Cyber Defence settings.

• Proven track record in enhancing threat detection and response capabilities.

• Experience in leading significant cyber security incidents from detection to resolution.

• Strong knowledge of vulnerability management tools and security testing practices.

• Proficiency in cloud security, security monitoring, SIEM, and threat intelligence operations.

• Experience in working within regulated or highly governed environments.

• Familiarity with Rapid7 or Tenable platforms.

• Ability to articulate technical and business risks to senior management and executive teams.

• Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Azure Security.

• CISSP and/or CISM certifications.

• Certifications in Incident Response or Vulnerability Management.

• Understanding of network topologies and architectural designs.

• Knowledge of operating systems and infrastructure technologies.

• Familiarity with NIST and broader security governance frameworks.
