OpenStack Engineer, English

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, configure, and sustain OpenStack environments intended for production deployment.

• Monitor and refine cloud infrastructure to guarantee optimal performance, reliability, and capacity.

• Troubleshoot challenges across OpenStack services, including Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Glance, Keystone, and others.

• Execute upgrades, expansions, and lifecycle management activities.

• Collaborate directly with clients to identify and resolve technical challenges.

• Work in conjunction with internal engineering teams to integrate OpenStack with our other platforms and tools.

• Automate operational workflows to enhance efficiency and consistency.

• Develop and maintain documentation for processes, configurations, and best practices.

• Take part in on-call rotations to support essential systems.

• Aid in the preparation and review of architectural designs for new deployments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with OpenStack in live production settings.

• Strong comprehension of compute, networking, storage, and identity services within OpenStack.

• Proficient in Linux systems administration and fundamental networking principles.

• Familiarity with virtualization technologies, such as KVM.

• Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or similar frameworks.

• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools, including Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack.

• Scripting expertise in Python, Go, or comparable languages.

• Capability to troubleshoot performance problems and perform root cause analysis.

• Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.

• Excellent communication abilities, with the capacity to work directly with clients.
