This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Creates and delivers a DeVry University syllabus that adheres to a template set by the local campus, encompassing the terminal course objectives.

• Organizes, prepares, and consistently revises all course materials.

• Utilizes appropriate technological tools for online platforms and course-related software, including websites, email, and online discussions, to prepare the course and make it accessible for students.

• Exemplifies effective oral and written communication that captivates students, provides clarity, and enhances their learning experience.

• Establishes clear expectations for the course by publishing terminal objectives, assignment/examination schedules, and the weight distribution of various evaluation components.

• Ensures that the content and difficulty level of exam materials align with the course terminal objectives.

• Maintains consistency and fairness in exam preparation and grading, providing timely feedback to students.

• Welcomes and integrates the responsible use of AI technologies in the classroom to improve teaching and learning outcomes.

• Shows the ability to identify, assess, and address appropriate and inappropriate student use of AI tools in their academic work.

• Performs additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A doctorate in the subject being taught or a doctoral degree in a related field with 18 graduate credit hours in the subject is essential.

• Candidates must upload unofficial graduate-level transcripts along with their application.

• Degrees should be conferred by an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, or by an international institution deemed to hold equivalent accreditation.

• Additional requirements based on state licensing or accreditation considerations may apply.

• Faculty must possess the necessary subject matter expertise and excellent communication skills.

• Faculty must demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development in instructional technology, digital literacy, and responsible AI practices.
