Online Notary Public

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Perform the notarization of client documents.

• Authenticate significant documents while working from home.

• Clarify the notarization procedure and deliver a professional, responsive customer service experience.

• Verify the identity of signers in accordance with the requirements of the commissioning state.

• Ensure that the signer comprehends the document and is signing voluntarily.

• Assess documents for completeness and proper certificate wording.

• Conduct acknowledgment and jurat notarial acts.

• Maintain a digital notary journal for each notarization as required by state regulations.

• Validate the authenticity of signatures on essential legal documents.

• Act as a witness for other notarial sessions when necessary and available.

• Test product functionalities and communicate bugs and suggestions for improvement to the notary team.

• Handle customer interactions via the internal account portal.

• Uphold certification as required by state law.

• Support testing and quality assurance as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 months of experience in a Remote Online Notary Public position, dealing with confidential and private customer documents.

• Valid Electronic Notary Public certification in Virginia.

• Commissioned Notary Public in Virginia.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Technologically proficient; capable of learning internal tools and new software.

• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

• Well-developed interpersonal skills and organizational capabilities.

• Ability to resolve standard document issues with minimal support.

• Minimum coverage of $25,000 for errors and omissions insurance (E&O).

• Access to a working desktop computer or laptop, webcam, microphone, and high-speed internet connection.
