Online Adjunct Professor – Medical Coding and Reimbursement, CPC, CCA, CCS, CCSP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Prepare assigned courses in Blackboard, ensuring all required elements are completed by the specified deadline.

• Deliver approximately 12-14 hours of instruction weekly over five days for each course.

• Facilitate discussions, grade student assignments, monitor email communications, engage in personalized retention strategies, reach out to support student success, and address student inquiries.

• Respond to all forms of outreach (email, text, calls, etc.) from students, supervisors, colleagues, and others within 48 hours.

• Lead discussions with high-quality, substantive posts, utilize higher-order questioning, and provide supplemental resources.

• Ensure the grade book is updated weekly by Thursday at 11:59 pm ET for Weeks 1-6, and by 9 am ET on Thursday following the last day of class for Weeks 7 and 7.5.

• Review student submissions, adhere to grading rubrics, and offer detailed, individualized feedback.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s Degree; PhD Degree preferred.

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in higher education within the last ten (10) years, with a focus on educational theory instruction.

• Expertise in the subject areas being taught.

• Proven leadership abilities, integrity, and ethical practice, focusing on problem-solving, conflict management/resolution, adaptability, creativity, and sensitivity to diversity.

• Openness to self-assessment, receiving feedback, and integrating results into practice.

• Ability to identify and proactively address opportunities and challenges.

• Documented management experience in an educational context.

• Strong administrative, evaluative, analytical, strategic thinking, and organizational skills.

• Excellent skills in both oral and written communication.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and internet applications.

• Familiarity with other technologies currently utilized in the Nursing profession.

• Proven capacity to collaborate effectively as part of a team while adhering to college, state, federal, and accrediting/approval agency regulations, policies, and procedures.
