This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Create a learning environment that aligns with the college's mission and vision statements, enhancing engagement through various teaching methodologies adopted by the college, employing the most effective technologies, and supporting students throughout their academic journey.
• Prepare assigned course(s) in Blackboard with all required elements by the specified deadline.
• Deliver approximately 12-14 hours of instruction weekly over five days for each course.
• Address all communication (email, text, calls, etc.) from students, supervisors, colleagues, and others within 48 hours.
• Lead discussions with meaningful, high-quality contributions, higher-order questioning, and supplementary resources, ensuring a minimum participation in discussions of at least three days each week (including Weeks 1 & 7.5).
• Update the grade book weekly, no later than Thursday at 11:59 PM ET for Weeks 1-6, and by 9 AM ET Thursday after the final class day for Weeks 7 and 7.5.
• Applicants must meet one of the following qualifications:
• A master’s degree in Accounting.
• A master’s degree in a related field (e.g., MBA, MS Management) accompanied by a bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• A master’s degree (in any field) along with a valid CPA license.
• A minimum of one year of experience in an accounting role or a position that includes accounting functions.
• At least one year of teaching experience.
• Experience with a Learning Management System (LMS), preferably Blackboard, and familiarity with technology for feedback and student engagement (e.g., video recording, audio recording, inline comments, Microsoft Teams, etc.).
