This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Reviewing invoices, expense reports, and credit card transactions to ensure accurate coding in the general ledger.
• Investigating and addressing inquiries from internal stakeholders and vendors regarding expense transactions.
• Coaching team members on effectively navigating and mastering the expenditure system and processes.
• Assisting with system administration tasks for our expense management software.
• Supporting compliance initiatives, including the annual audit and the preparation of the 990 tax return.
• Participating in month-end closing activities as required, which includes preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts.
• Aiding the department in developing new processes as the organization evolves, utilizing AI when appropriate.
• Overseeing the filing of state non-profit registrations.
• Managing additional administrative duties and projects as necessary.
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Strong attention to detail; you prioritize the "little things" and ensure timely and professional completion of tasks.
• Proven experience in learning and utilizing financial and administrative systems/technologies.
• At least 2 years of experience in office work or customer service (this is a plus).
• Formal training in Excel (this is also a plus).
• Experience with expense management platforms like Concur and/or ERP systems such as NetSuite (this is an additional plus).
