This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Spearhead strategic initiatives that will define the future of Amgen’s Oncology Therapeutic Area, with an emphasis on R&D topics.

• Lead and oversee strategic, cross-functional projects assigned by Development leadership.

• Independently manage project execution and influence stakeholders across various functions and levels.

• Develop and support annual strategies for the therapeutic area, including planning for the oncology portfolio.

• Conduct technology assessments, in-depth analyses, and landscape evaluations.

• Execute cross-portfolio analytics, risk assessments, and strategic decision-support activities.

• Facilitate scientific collaborations with external academic partners through the Amgen Partners of Choice program.

• Coordinate scientific exchanges and manage partnership-related projects.

• Oversee global external communications and represent the organization with key external stakeholders.

• Act as a trusted advisor and representative for Development leadership.

• Navigate uncertainties and lead ad hoc strategic initiatives and special projects as business requirements emerge.


⛳️ Requirements

• Doctorate degree with 4 years of experience in the healthcare business.

• Alternatively, a Master’s degree with 7 years of experience in the healthcare business.

• Or a Bachelor’s degree with 9 years of experience in the healthcare business.

• A minimum of eight (8) years of strategic experience in management consulting, finance, or corporate strategy roles.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the biopharma industry (i.e., pharmaceutical development, translational sciences, R&D processes).

• Understanding of the interactions among various industry stakeholders, along with awareness of trends and recent developments, and the ability to research, learn, and synthesize findings on new topics.

• Experience in Oncology R&D within the biopharmaceutical sector (biotech or pharmaceutical company).

• Exceptional cross-functional communication skills and a decisive yet collaborative leadership style to achieve results while maintaining relationships.

• Strong presence with Senior Executives, including the ability to communicate effectively in both prepared and spontaneous contexts.

• Proven track record as a member and leader of a high-performing team.
