This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.
• Assist in the introduction of a newly approved targeted therapy for lung cancer.
• Market the oncology product to oncology practices within a designated geographic area.
• Engage with oncologists, oncology nurses, office staff, and pharmacists through in-person discussions.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with healthcare providers.
• Inform healthcare providers about the oncology product, its approved indications, and available patient support services.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the product, the disease state, customers, and the territory.
• Establish, nurture, and sustain relationships and consistent communication with physicians and key opinion leaders across the US.
• Utilize the customer relationship management system for maintaining call records and account planning.
• Provide exceptional expertise and customer service to clients.
• Collaborate efficiently and deploy appropriate resources as necessary.
• Complete training to gain a thorough understanding of the disease state and product positioning.
• Travel to medical offices and hospitals, which may involve approximately 80% travel; some overnight trips may be required.
• A BA/BS degree from an accredited institution is required; a focus in business, life sciences, or a clinical degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of previous experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, or medical sales.
• At least 1 year of oncology experience with a solid understanding of the integrated oncology network.
• Proven ability to plan, analyze, and respond to sales data within a designated geography.
• Strong and persuasive business communication skills with physicians and providers.
• Capability to work independently while exercising sound business judgment and discretion.
• Ability to analyze and address opportunities within the territory.
• Familiarity with Sales Force Automation (SFA) applications is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel approximately 30% as necessary to cover the territory, up to a 2-hour radius from the headquarters city; some overnight travel may be necessary.
• Ability to effectively conduct a clinical product sale.
• Demonstrated success in managing a territory.
• Strong knowledge of VEEVA systems.
• Availability to work 40 hours per week, which may include weekend medical meetings.
