This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Achieving regional sales goals, including revenue and expenses.
• Formulating and implementing regional and territory business plans.
• Directly executing sales strategies and tactics, along with the rollout of sales and marketing initiatives.
• Cultivating and sustaining key customer relationships with targeted audiences; assisting in the creation of mutually beneficial business solutions; applying broader business scenarios and customer-centric models to achieve significant results.
• Organizing and leading regional sales meetings aimed at sharing existing and new product knowledge and applications, while also enhancing and developing sales and business skills.
• Assessing the performance of Clinical Account Executives.
• Maintaining an extensive understanding of product offerings and market trends.
• Identifying contracting opportunities with academic medical centers, large cancer facilities, health systems, and other strategically significant key accounts.
• Overseeing the management of Tempus’s CRM system for the designated geographic region.
• Collaborating with cross-functional partners to access resources and optimize outcomes.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant industry or commercial setting (pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, research products) as a sales manager, leading a team of over 8 representatives.
• Bachelor’s degree is required; MBA is preferred.
• Extensive domain knowledge of the Diagnostic Services industry.
• Molecular Diagnostic experience is highly preferred.
• Experience in selling Oncology-related tests and services to the Pathology and/or Oncology clinical communities is preferred.
• Background in complex selling environments is required.
• Proven track record in recruiting, hiring, developing, and retaining talent.
• Ability to prioritize and align organizational goals and objectives to foster innovation.
• Capability to develop and leverage cross-functional relationships to achieve work goals and objectives.
• Proficient in providing an integrated MolDx/SaaS solution utilizing Tempus’s sequencing technology to prospects and customers.
• Comfortable engaging with executives at the CEO, COO, and CFO levels.
• Strong grasp of the payor and reimbursement landscape within the oncology and diagnostic sectors.
• Ability to work autonomously, communicate proactively, manage multiple projects, and prioritize daily tasks while adhering to critical deadlines.
• Proficient in problem-solving, decision-making, and technical learning.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong administrative capabilities.
• Sophistication in managing business within complex environments.
• Knowledge and experience in strategic planning, development of sales strategies, and tactical implementation.
• Understanding of financial dynamics in a commercial organization.
• Expertise in healthcare, particularly in molecular diagnostics, genomics, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and oncology.
• Superior listening and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality.
• Demonstrated ability to close deals throughout the sales cycle.
• Possess a positive attitude and an understanding of the dynamics associated with organizational growth and change.
• Must be highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Effective and regular use of Salesforce.com.
• Advanced presentation skills and strong business acumen are essential.
• Frequent travel (approximately 50%) throughout the territory as needed.
