This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +1 more state.
β’ Provide non-promotional, compliant education regarding polycythemia vera and, upon approval, essential thrombocythemia to nurses, advanced practice providers, and office personnel.
β’ Deliver clinical education on treatment objectives, patient selection principles, administration considerations, monitoring parameters, and ongoing care requirements for individuals with PV and ET.
β’ Assist healthcare practices in comprehending symptom burden, risks of thrombosis and bleeding, concerns related to splenomegaly, and other prevalent clinical considerations impacting patients with MPNs.
β’ Instruct office staff on practical methods for treatment initiation, dose titration, laboratory monitoring, recognition of adverse reactions, and follow-up necessities in line with approved materials and company policy.
β’ Evaluate educational needs within community and academic oncology practices and customize compliant education for the roles of nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other clinical staff.
β’ Ensure a clear distinction from promotional activities and collaborate compliantly with cross-functional field partners to provide coordinated support to healthcare practices.
β’ Offer feedback to internal stakeholders regarding opportunities to improve educational materials, office tools, and training resources based on real-world practice requirements.
β’ A valid RN license is required; a BSN is strongly preferred.
β’ At least 5 years of experience in clinical nursing, nurse education, or healthcare professional education is required.
β’ Experience in oncology or hematology is mandatory.
β’ Prior experience in educating nurses, advanced practice providers, physicians, and office-based clinical staff is preferred.
β’ Familiarity with oncology office workflows, patient monitoring, and the practical needs within community and academic practice environments is essential.
β’ A strong grasp of compliance requirements and the capacity to operate effectively within non-promotional role limitations is necessary.
β’ Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills are required.
β’ Ability to work independently, manage territory activities, and collaborate effectively with internal functions is essential.
