This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement the Medical strategy and engagement for designated customers within the New York region.

• Stay informed about relevant therapeutic areas, disease conditions, and Pfizer products.

• Provide information on therapeutic areas and products to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Act as a resource for Medical Information and customer insights.

• Deliver approved medical and scientific education to healthcare professionals.

• Identify and engage key customer segments within the assigned therapeutic area.

• Address unsolicited medical inquiries from healthcare professionals with accurate, scientifically supported information.

• Facilitate advisory boards, coordinating with vendors as needed, under managerial supervision.

• Manage incoming queries from healthcare professionals via the established triage process.

• Identify potential sites for Pfizer-sponsored clinical trials, particularly those serving under-represented patient populations.

• Provide Medical support throughout the Investigator Sponsored Research process.

• Develop expertise in research and therapeutic areas, including congress data and literature on disease states.

• Offer asset leadership and communicate concepts regarding study design, methodology, data analysis, and interpretation.

• Lead the territory strategy, prioritization, and accountability for medical impact.

• Collaborate with local Patient Advocacy Groups in conjunction with Corporate Affairs and HQ Medical Affairs.

• Share actionable field insights regarding patient organizations, patient needs, treatment patterns, standards of care, and unmet data needs.

• Participate in Medical, therapeutic-area, and asset cross-functional committees.

• Represent Pfizer Medical Affairs in clinical and professional associations and societies.

• Mentor new partners, advisory board leads, and study leads.

• Engage in special projects as required.

• Collaborate with headquarters Medical colleagues, Medical Information, and other Field Medical teams.

• Communicate through live and virtual presentations, written correspondence, and telephone or virtual discussions.

• Enhance patient centricity, health literacy, and cultural awareness in Medical communications and deliverables.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in a health science is required.

• Relevant experience is necessary: PharmD/PhD with 6 years of experience, MBA/MSc with 8 years of experience, or BA/BSc with 10 years of experience.

• Recognized subject matter expert among internal and external stakeholders.

• A diverse range of leadership experiences and capabilities, including the ability to influence and collaborate with peers to create business impact.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

• Strong interpersonal skills; capable of understanding and addressing the demands of multiple internal and external customers while managing conflict constructively.

• Proficient in managing a significant volume of projects in a remote setting, prioritizing effectively, and demonstrating sound judgment.

• Ability to work within a matrixed, multi-disciplinary team.

• Experience in leading change and demonstrating adaptability to change.

• Strong problem-solving and enterprise-wide networking capabilities.

• Proven clinical and technical skills.

• Quick to adopt and utilize new digital technologies and resources with medical customers, and document medical interactions.

• Must be able to operate a Pfizer company car and travel by air regularly.

• Willingness to travel 60-80% of the time.

• Reasonable proximity to an airline hub city is required.

• Availability to work on weekends.

• Candidates must currently reside in New York state, including Manhattan and Long Island.

• Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. by any employer.

• Permanent work authorization in the United States is required.

• A PharmD, PhD, or equivalent terminal doctoral degree is highly preferred.

• Previous Field Medical experience is preferred.
