This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico, +3 more states.
β’ Abstract newly diagnosed cancer cases.
β’ Assist in identifying cases.
β’ Conduct quality control procedures on data.
β’ Address data inquiries.
β’ Maintain records in the database.
β’ Extract relevant data.
β’ Submit reports to state and/or central registries.
β’ Completion of a college-level curriculum in Cancer Data Management, or equivalent education/experience.
β’ National Oncology Data Specialist certification from the National Cancer Registrars Association required upon hire.
β’ An Associate's Degree is preferred.
β’ Coursework in Anatomy and Physiology or ongoing completion of these courses is preferred.
β’ Prior experience in abstracting newly diagnosed cancer cases is preferred.
β’ Experience in an ACoS approved Cancer Registry is preferred.
β’ Familiarity with Cancer Registry software, such as ONCOLog, is preferred.
