This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee onboarding processes for new retirement plan clients, ensuring that essential milestones and deadlines are achieved.
• Keep precise onboarding systems, status reports, and documentation up to date.
• Analyze and map previous plan documents to ensure provisions are accurately represented in the new plan.
• Prepare, review, and coordinate plan documents, amendments, restatements, SPDs, and other related materials.
• Engage in plan provision and onboarding discussions with clients, advisors, and internal teams.
• Clearly articulate plan provisions and requirements to clients and partners.
• Identify enhancements to plan design and propose solutions for unsupported provisions.
• Prepare and submit approved plan provisions to recordkeepers, coordinating all related documentation.
• Accurately interpret and review legal and plan documents.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external providers to address issues and progress onboarding projects.
• Enhance processes, workflows, and methodologies.
• Manage onboarding activities from start to finish, ensuring a superior client experience.
• 3–5+ years of experience with retirement plan documents, qualified retirement plans, or TPA operations.
• Strong knowledge of ERISA and IRS regulations that govern qualified retirement plans.
• Experience in reviewing, interpreting, and drafting retirement plan documents.
• Solid understanding of 401(k) plan provisions and plan design principles.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Keen attention to detail with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to convey complex retirement plan concepts understandably to clients, advisors, and internal partners.
• Strong organizational skills coupled with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
• Capability to take ownership of projects until they are completed.
• Preferred: experience with plan amendments, restatements, SPDs, compliance testing, plan operations, document update cycles, employers, advisors, recordkeepers, retirement plan systems, and ASPPA credentials such as QKA, QKC, or QPA, or progress toward certification.
