This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the entire onboarding process for all team members within the organization.
• Conduct training sessions, enhance training materials, and complete competency checklists that validate skills directly.
• Act as the primary expert for the team on Athena and EHR workflows.
• Provide on-the-spot training and personalized 1:1 feedback regarding documentation, workflow, and system navigation.
• Continuously refine onboarding materials and checklists to reduce ramp-up time.
• Review medical staff documentation and practices post-onboarding.
• Guide staff in correcting training drift promptly.
• Communicate audit feedback to individuals and supervisors.
• Monitor and report on training compliance using both quantitative and qualitative metrics.
• Organize and lead continuing education sessions.
• Train other facilitators to either lead or co-facilitate courses.
• Create original training content and curriculum focused on SUD/behavioral health.
• Implement adult learning principles and tailor learning plans based on clinician, role, or team.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for the Learning Management System, ensuring its accuracy, efficiency, and reporting.
• Evaluate clinical quality and competency across nursing, therapy, medical, and care coordination disciplines.
• Collaborate with medical and operations leadership to address workflow and quality gaps.
• Ensure training materials meet state, federal, and accreditation standards, including CARF.
• Keep training materials updated as Athena, evidence, and regulations change.
• Active RN license or equivalent medical background, with direct experience in behavioral health and/or SUD clinical settings (required).
• Practical knowledge of Athena or a similar EHR from a clinical workflow standpoint (required).
• Experience in designing and facilitating clinical training or curriculum.
• Ideally possess LMS experience, knowledge of adult learning theory, and instructional design expertise.
• A genuine passion for training, coaching, and process improvement rather than returning to direct patient care.
• Ability to serve as an external, accountability-focused presence rather than a peer.
• Comfortable with basic statistics and producing data-driven reports on training adherence.
• Strong public speaking and facilitation abilities.
• Quick to understand new concepts and adapt to rapid changes.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time, with fluctuations as necessary.
