Onboarding Cloud Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee client onboarding projects from the initial kickoff to the transition into ongoing service.

• Create onboarding strategies, timelines, and actionable items for clients.

• Examine, reconcile, and organize previous accounting records.

• Carry out catch-up and clean-up accounting initiatives.

• Set up and enhance cloud accounting systems along with associated applications.

• Facilitate onboarding tasks among both internal and external stakeholders.

• Draft onboarding documents, standard operating procedures (SOPs), process maps, and transition summaries.

• Track onboarding schedules, metrics, and project progress, identifying any obstacles and suggesting improvements.

• Evaluate the onboarding workload and offer insights to assist in onboarding capacity planning.

• Provide support for a select group of recurring cloud accounting clients.

• Compile financial reporting packages and assist with sales tax compliance efforts.

• Leverage AI and technological tools to enhance efficiency, consistency, and client outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Canadian cloud accounting, bookkeeping, or accounting.

• CPA designation is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Proficient in QuickBooks Online and cloud accounting technologies.

• Experience in accounting clean-up, conversions, implementations, or client onboarding is a plus.

• Outstanding project management and organizational abilities.

• Demonstrated capacity to handle multiple client projects at once.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• A self-motivated individual who excels in a fast-paced remote setting.

• Experience with not-for-profit organizations is considered an asset.
