Ocean Freight Operations Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the operations for both import and export ocean freight.

• Ensure that daily operations are conducted efficiently and effectively.

• Manage bookings with ocean carriers and assess the itineraries and logistics solutions offered to clients.

• Guarantee timely follow-up in line with service standards and client expectations.

• Coordinate the customs clearance procedures.

• Manage Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) shipments in accordance with applicable regulations.

• Facilitate the receipt, assessment, and processing of shipping documents.

• Develop, maintain, and enhance relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners.

• Effectively communicate and negotiate with all stakeholders to ensure the seamless execution of shipments.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Ocean Freight Operations.

• Proficiency in both French and English is required.

• Knowledge of Spanish is beneficial; regular communication with the Latin American division may be necessary.

• Practical experience with DGR shipments.

• Comprehensive understanding of customs procedures.

• Experience with both FCL and LCL shipments.

• Familiarity with Project Cargo shipments is preferred and considered an advantage.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Excellent organizational and interpersonal abilities.

• Experience using TMS/Carwise is regarded as a plus.
