Occupational Therapist Registered – OTR

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough assessments of students' motor skills, sensory processing, and functional capabilities.

• Create personalized treatment plans and objectives in partnership with students, parents, and educational staff.

• Apply evidence-based occupational therapy techniques to cater to students' unique requirements and foster skill enhancement.

• Track and record students' advancement towards their goals, modifying intervention strategies as necessary.

• Offer guidance and assistance to teachers and other school personnel on methods to enhance students' engagement and achievement in the classroom.

• Work alongside multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive support for students' academic and functional needs.

• Engage in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and assist in formulating students' educational plans.

• Keep precise and up-to-date records of therapy sessions, progress evaluations, and other essential documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy or a related discipline.

• Possession of a valid state license as an Occupational Therapist in the state where you practice.

• Must be registered with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).

• Enthusiastic about working with K-12 students in a virtual environment.

• Experience delivering occupational therapy services in a school or pediatric context.

• Skilled in assessment tools and therapeutic methods commonly utilized in pediatric occupational therapy.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effective collaboration with students, parents, and educational staff.

• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in computer applications (including email and Microsoft Teams).

• Experience in teletherapy.

• Familiarity with sensory integration therapy, handwriting without tears, and other therapeutic approaches (preferred).
