Observability Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, provision, configure, and manage cloud or infrastructure components utilizing established architectural patterns.

• Automate repetitive tasks related to provisioning, deployment, configuration, and operations.

• Implement controls for security, identity, networking, backup, monitoring, and availability.

• Investigate incidents, capacity challenges, vulnerabilities, and performance issues.

• Maintain runbooks, diagrams, standards, and records of changes.

• Collaborate across engineering and operations teams.

• Contribute to the delivery lifecycle of reliable and maintainable solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of relevant experience as outlined in the job details.

• Typically requires a minimum of 4 years in a related professional capacity (the specific threshold must align with the approved requisition).

• Hands-on experience with metrics, logs, traces, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus/Grafana or similar tools, alerting, and distributed tracing.

• Professional background in cloud engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, or systems operations.

• Practical knowledge of specific cloud, operating system, container, or automation technologies.

• Understanding of fundamentals related to networking, identity, security, monitoring, and availability.

• Experience with scripting, automation, source control, or infrastructure as code methodologies.

• Ability to methodically troubleshoot infrastructure and production issues.

• Strong skills in documentation and cross-team collaboration.
