Nutrition Science Director – APAC Region

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.

📋 Description

• Cultivate scientific knowledge in functional ingredients, human nutrition, and novel health benefits.

• Convert research findings into impactful outputs such as white papers, publications, presentations, and technical dossiers.

• Facilitate innovation through the development of new product concepts, applications, and health indications.

• Offer formulation and application assistance for the commercialization of ingredients.

• Oversee research partnerships with universities, CROs, and local collaborators.

• Establish connections with academic and scientific stakeholders throughout the APAC region.

• Assist with regulatory activities, including dossiers and awareness of regional compliance.

• Collaborate with Marketing & Sales to create science-based tools, training, and customer presentations.

• Contribute to the development of intellectual property and initiatives for business growth.

• Aid in the activities of the Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) and strategic programs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Nutrition Science, Biology, Physiology, or a related discipline.

• Must have prior experience in the APAC region with a multinational organization.

• Over 5 years of experience in nutritional or functional ingredients, with a robust scientific and practical background.

• Experience collaborating with academic partners; a network in APAC is preferred.

• Strong understanding of nutrition science and the functionality of ingredients.

• Excellent communication and presentation abilities for both scientific and commercial audiences.

• Proven skill in translating complex scientific concepts into business-relevant insights.

• Proficient in both English and Mandarin (required).

• Experience supporting markets in the APAC region is preferred.

• Capacity to work independently and maintain motivation while working remotely.

• Outstanding team player.

• High level of problem-solving skills.

• Willingness to travel within the region.

• Some familiarity with formulation processes and the ability to convert ingredients into finished products.
