This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
β’ Offer clinical subject matter expertise concerning syphilis and congenital syphilis.
β’ Deliver direct clinical care at the Sexual Health Clinic as required.
β’ Act as the Program Manager for the Congenital Syphilis Prevention Project (CSPP).
β’ Represent the CSPP at committee and sub-committee meetings organized by the NYS DOH, as well as at national meetings.
β’ Conduct bi-weekly reviews to stay updated on clinical and laboratory information pertaining to pregnant cases and neonates.
β’ Coordinate and facilitate bi-weekly meetings with ID faculty and NYS DOH staff for case reviews related to the CSPP.
β’ Provide high-quality clinical consultative services to policy and program leaders upon request.
β’ Create and present CME-accredited presentations for clinical and public health audiences.
β’ Bachelor's degree from an accredited Nursing Program.
β’ Valid New York State Registered Nurse license in good standing.
β’ Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program is mandatory.
β’ At least 3 years of experience in providing STI clinical care is preferred.
β’ Familiarity with CDC and NYS HIV and STI guidelines is preferred.
β’ Previous experience working with diverse populations, including gay and/or transgender individuals, is preferred.
β’ Clinical competence across a spectrum of acute, chronic, and well patients is required.
β’ Strong professional writing abilities, problem-solving skills, interpersonal communication skills, group facilitation skills, and cultural competency are preferred.
β’ May require travel within New York State and out of state is preferred.
