Nurse Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Offer consulting services to clients across the country

• Oversee assigned client facilities to ensure efficient service delivery and cost management

• Execute consulting visits in alignment with contractual commitments

• Achieve specified profit and loss objectives

• Prepare and submit internal and client reports following company protocols

• Relay customer concerns to leadership promptly

• Engage in team meetings, committees, and conference calls

• Stay informed on issues and regulations affecting the long-term care sector

• Safeguard the confidentiality of resident and facility data

• Conduct clinical and regulatory compliance audits, mock surveys, medical record assessments, Medicare and MDS process evaluations, as well as other clinically oriented consulting services

• Complete assigned tasks and projects efficiently

• Collaborate with members from various departments to finalize projects

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid Registered Nurse license

• Willingness to travel to client facilities on a weekly basis (75-80% travel required)

• Minimum of five years experience in long-term care is essential

• Previous roles as a Director of Nursing, state surveyor, or regional nurse consultant are preferred

• Background in clinical compliance and regulatory oversight

• Familiarity with Medicare Part A skilled nursing facility coverage and documentation standards

• Understanding of MDS 3.0

• Knowledge of the RAI Manual

• Familiarity with PDPM

• Awareness of the connection between clinical documentation, coding, compliance, and reimbursement

• Comprehensive knowledge of state and federal regulations pertaining to long-term care facilities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organizational and time management abilities

• Flexibility to adapt to changes and eagerness to learn new processes
