This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee the recovery process and facilitate the return to work for employees on medical leave due to worker’s compensation, as well as short-term and long-term disability claims.
• Conduct functionally focused and thorough telephone interviews with employees to determine the factors impacting their ability to work.
• Develop, implement, monitor, and adjust return to work plans as necessary.
• Coordinate appropriate medical assessments and treatments.
• Consistently document case files and maintain communication with team members to foster a strong collaborative partnership.
• Act as a liaison among the employee, third parties (including insurers), the employer, and various healthcare professionals to advance recovery and ensure a timely return to work.
• Make independent decisions regarding the management of claims involving complex or multiple diagnoses.
• Consult on case files as needed.
• Must hold a nursing license in good standing with any recognized provincial nursing regulatory body in Canada.
• Preferred 2-3 years of experience in disability case management.
• Completion or enrollment in the Occupational Health Nursing certificate program is beneficial, though not mandatory.
