Nuer OPI/VRI Interpretation Vacancy, Gambela

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ethiopia.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary related to the industry in which you are interpreting, particularly in healthcare and medical settings.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages, without adding, omitting, or substituting any part.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service while interpreting.

• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and complete interpretation of messages.

• Uphold professional standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show eagerness to acquire new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report regularly to your team leader.

• Adhere to dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Nuer".

• At least 1 year of telephone interpretation experience with a reputable interpretation company.

• Solid understanding of medical terminology.

• Knowledge of legal terminology is an advantage.

• Possession of international certifications in the healthcare industry is a plus (PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Strong emotional intelligence and cultural tolerance.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
