Nuer English OPI/VRI Interpreter Vacancy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Sudan.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls professionally, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary related to the industry in which the interpreter operates, particularly in healthcare and medical contexts.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages, ensuring no additions, omissions, or substitutions.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service during interpretation sessions.

• Facilitate effective communication between Limited French Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and complete interpretation of messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Demonstrate a willingness to obtain new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report regularly to your team leader.

• Follow dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in both English and French.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in telephone interpretation with a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is advantageous.

• International certifications in the healthcare domain are beneficial (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• High emotional intelligence and sensitivity to diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
