This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
β’ The Regional Non-Ferrous Editor for the Americas plays a crucial role in implementing our PRA strategy by overseeing and managing a team of price reporters focused on non-ferrous metals in the region.
β’ This position is responsible for formulating and executing the regional strategy for the relevant markets, while also contributing to the global strategy.
β’ The regional editor will execute the broader Fastmarkets growth strategies, collaborating with the editorial director and the leadership team to articulate and promote the Fastmarkets vision in key growth sectors, including U.S. critical minerals and battery raw materials.
β’ The role involves balancing occasional market coverage with the need to produce unique content and commentaries that support pricing services, engaging with market participants to drive adoption, and effectively managing responsibilities as both a leader and a team player.
β’ The objective is to foster excellence within the regional team, establishing the group collectively as industry experts, ensuring a continuous flow of high-quality content and accurate pricing, while overseeing, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team of market specialists.
β’ A strong background in pricing markets and journalism, preferably with expertise in the metals markets.
β’ Experience in high-pressure benchmark markets is advantageous.
β’ Proven leadership capabilities: a track record of planning, motivating, delegating tasks, and achieving results through others, coupled with diplomacy.
β’ Ideal candidates will have experience in recruiting, training, and mentoring a team to meet and exceed expectations for pricing, content, and market coverage.
β’ Experience in market engagement, including organizing or overseeing roadshows, webinars, external meetings, and speaking at events, is essential.
β’ Capability to manage a budget and prioritize resource utilization to achieve efficiencies and results, including making tough decisions, constructing business cases, and defending a spending plan.
β’ Ability to operate effectively at the highest levels within a matrix management framework and with external stakeholders.
β’ Competence to lead multiple projects concurrently with a strong vision that is articulated clearly and coherently.
β’ Support risk and compliance in audit activities, ensuring that the team is well-versed in all processes under review.
β’ Creativity to devise new product ideas and solutions that address customer needs.
