Node JS Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Developing and managing all server-side network components.

• Ensuring the central database functions optimally and responds efficiently to front-end requests.

• Collaborating with front-end developers to integrate various elements.

• Designing user interfaces and back-end services for multiple business processes.

• Creating high-performance applications by writing testable, reusable, and efficient code.

• Implementing robust security protocols, data protection strategies, and storage solutions.

• Conducting diagnostic tests, fixing defects, and offering technical support.

• Documenting Node.js processes, including database schemas, and preparing detailed reports.

• Suggesting and applying enhancements to processes and technologies.

• Staying updated on advancements in the field of Node.js development.

⛳️ Requirements

• BA/BS degree or technical institute training or equivalent work experience.

• Over 7 years of experience as a full-stack software engineer, developing scalable solutions.

• Proven experience in designing and developing front-end solutions across multiple platforms at scale.

• Demonstrated experience in designing and developing microservices for highly scalable systems.

• Strong understanding of concurrency and asynchronous multi-threading.

• Proficient in React, Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Java, with a capacity to quickly learn new languages and technologies.

• Experience in developing and integrating with third-party APIs.

• A strong belief in testing all designs and developments through automation.

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and Spring Boot.

• Practical experience with relational and non-relational databases and their trade-offs.

• Extensive experience with Agile software engineering methodologies and practices.

• Strong leadership skills to guide engineers in technical decisions regarding design, implementation, and risk analysis.

• Ability to coordinate feature development across multiple teams, aligning roadmaps to deliver essential features.

• Solid understanding of Functional Programming Concepts.

• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and Spark.

• Significant hands-on experience with at least one SQL and one NoSQL variant, such as Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.

• Experience designing and deploying systems on AWS.

• Proficient in containerization using tools like Docker.
