This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee and administer multi-vendor network environments, guaranteeing the reliability of fiber and IP transport services.
• Spearhead triage and advanced troubleshooting for intricate network events, pinpointing root causes and facilitating swift resolutions.
• Coordinate escalations with internal engineering teams, field operations, and external vendors.
• Manage the isolation of network faults, as well as the configuration and upkeep of routers, switches, and optical systems.
• Execute proactive analysis of network performance, capacity planning, and optimization efforts.
• Deliver Tier III technical support to internal teams, mentoring Tier I/II NOC personnel.
• Supervise change management, upgrades, and maintenance windows to reduce service disruptions.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, runbooks, and process enhancements for network operations.
• Ensure compliance with SLA requirements, service availability, and consistently meet MTTR targets.
• 8–10+ years of experience in network operations, engineering, or telecommunications, with a demonstrated background in NOC or ISP settings.
• Profound knowledge of IP networking (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, VPNs, QoS) and fiber transport systems (DWDM, CWDM, Ethernet).
• Practical experience with Juniper (Junos), Cisco, and MikroTik platforms.
• Familiarity with Calix XGS-PON and access/aggregation network management systems.
• Knowledge of fixed wireless and LTE platforms, such as Cambium, Telrad, or similar technologies.
• Advanced diagnostic, analytical, and scripting skills (Python, shell, or comparable experience is a plus).
• Strong comprehension of network monitoring, alerting, and telemetry tools.
• Proven capability to lead technical responses during significant incidents and guide NOC teams towards resolution.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or equivalent experience is preferred.
• This position does not require any travel.
• Authorization to work in the United States is required.
