
Neurologist – Cognitive Care, Telehealth

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Perform virtual consultations, cognitive assessments, and diagnostic evaluations for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, mild cognitive impairment (MCI), and similar conditions.
• Oversee and collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) across various states, offering clinical guidance and ensuring compliance with practice standards and state regulations.
• Create tailored, evidence-based care plans that include pharmacological management, cognitive therapy suggestions, and supportive care strategies.
• Manage the prescription of medications, ordering of diagnostic tests, and interpretation of results as part of a holistic patient care approach.
• Work in partnership with behavioral health clinicians, care coordinators, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to enhance care continuity and quality outcomes.
• Engage in case conferences and team meetings to discuss complex cases and assist in clinical decision-making.
• Keep abreast of new therapies, including anti-amyloid and disease-modifying treatments for dementia, while educating patients about these options.
• Facilitate caregiver involvement and education, assisting families in understanding disease progression, treatment plans, and available resources.
• Accurately document all encounters in the electronic health record (EHR) in a timely manner, ensuring adherence to telehealth and regulatory standards.
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of Synapticure’s cognitive care protocols, utilizing technology to improve care delivery and enrich the patient experience.
• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a residency in Neurology, with fellowship training in Behavioral/Cognitive Neurology or equivalent experience highly preferred.
• Board certification in Neurology (ABPN) is mandatory.
• Possession of an active, unrestricted medical license in at least one U.S. state; multi-state or IMLC eligibility is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in managing patients with memory or cognitive disorders.
• Proven proficiency in telemedicine platforms and digital tools for performing virtual neurological evaluations.
• Strong clinical knowledge in cognitive assessment, dementia management, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interactions with patients, families, and team members across virtual channels.
