Network/Field Service Engineer – Southeast Region

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Ensure the efficient functioning of local area, worldwide, and virtual private networks (VPN).

• Strategize, assess, design, and facilitate the installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software components for data and/or voice communication networks.

• Maintain technical proficiency across all facets of networks and the interfacing of computer hardware and software.

• Recommend solutions to management to meet all communication needs based on current usage and anticipated future requirements.

• Create or verify the existence of necessary network documentation, including operational guidelines.

• Conduct regular monitoring and analysis of the network concerning short- and long-term planning for internal systems.

• May oversee third-party maintenance for network equipment.

• May design a network or a segment of it, which includes the selection and recommendation of hardware and software solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess a current and active Secret clearance.

• Experience in network analysis - minimum of 3 years.

• IAT Level II (Security+ or an equivalent certification) is preferred.

• Must be capable of interpreting and understanding schematics and designs.

• A valid Driver's License is required.

• Familiarity with low voltage hardware is preferred.

• Experience using Hand and Power Tools is advantageous.

• Must be willing to travel frequently.

• Candidate must be based in the Southeast region of the U.S. for customer travel.

• A Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or Computer Science is preferred.

• 4+ years of experience may substitute for a degree.
