Network Systems Engineer – Pre-Sales

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Arista Account Managers to identify customer challenges.

• Facilitate whiteboard network architecture evaluations.

• Deliver presentations on Arista’s Open Networking Data Center and Cognitive Campus networking solutions.

• Design, architect, and recommend Arista Data Center & Campus network solutions.

• Conduct hands-on testing to confirm customer proof-of-concept configurations.

• Develop design guidelines and suggest enhancements to clients.

• Team up with the Sales Team to address RFPs/RFQs.

• Provide insights to Product Management and Engineering teams.

• Represent Arista at industry events focused on SDN and Open Networking.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Preferred network industry certification (e.g., CCIE (R&S), JNCIE).

• A minimum of 7+ years of experience in L2/L3 networking design and implementation.

• In-depth expertise in routing and switching, including L2/L3 protocols (Cisco, Juniper, Extreme, Aruba).

• Preferred experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales SE, or Network Consulting Engineer.

• Profound knowledge of Ethernet, RSTP/MSTP, VLANs, IP Routing, TCP/IP, BGP, eBGP, VxLAN, EVPN, Multicast, Spanning Tree, and QoS.

• Advanced understanding of industry-standard CLI.

• Experience with SDN and Network Function Virtualization (NFV).

• Previous experience in network automation using Python and Ansible is desired.
