Network Systems Engineer – Cloud Networking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Norway.

📋 Description

• Collaborate proactively with Arista Account Managers to identify and address customer challenges.

• Facilitate network architectural discussions and deliver Arista product presentations.

• Design, architect, and propose Arista Data Center, Routing & Campus network, and security solutions to foster new or additional sales.

• Conduct hands-on customer proof-of-concepts and initial network deployments utilizing cutting-edge products and features.

• Develop design guidelines and suggest enhancements for the networks under customer support.

• Spearhead technical responses to RFPs and RFQs.

• Manage customer feature requests from initial requirements through to implementation and deployment.

• Relay customer feedback to Product Management and Development teams.

• Represent Arista at industry events and conferences.

• Stay informed about competitive solutions, products, and services.

• Write white papers, blogs, and articles related to technology and products.

• Proficient in both Norwegian and English.

• Sales-oriented mindset: Ability and enthusiasm to collaboratively drive new business.

• A technical degree is required.

• Experience in networking design and implementation.

• Hands-on experience with routing and switching, including relevant protocols.

• Recent experience in Data Center, Routing, or Campus network architecture designs.

• Exceptional presentation skills.

• Extensive knowledge of relevant switching and routing protocols and technologies (e.g., Spanning Tree, OSPF, ISIS, BGP, VXLAN, EVPN, Multicast, QoS, Network Segmentation, etc.).

• Solid understanding of the competitive technology landscape.

• Preferred work experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales Systems Engineer, or Network Consulting Engineer.

• Practical experience in security deployments is a plus.

• Recent hands-on CLI experience is highly desired.

• Experience or interest in learning NetOps/DevOps using tools such as Python and Ansible.

• Arista Cloud Engineering (ACE) Level 5 or higher qualifications or equivalent industry qualifications.
