This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Ensure and uphold legal rights for occupancy and usage of real estate, including land, facility colocation, joint trenches, conduits, and pole attachments for TDS facilities.
β’ Investigate permitting requirements and liaise with permitting authorities.
β’ Participate in meetings and occasionally conduct fieldwork and travel.
β’ Define the scope of work, estimate tasks, and gather data and studies from professional service providers.
β’ Prepare, negotiate, submit, expedite, and secure permits along with associated fees prior to construction.
β’ Update and finalize records, GIS databases, and maps.
β’ Manage annual requirements, payments, bonds, insurance, and reporting obligations.
β’ Research local regulations and negotiate easements and right-of-entry agreements with private landowners.
β’ Acquire surveys and legal descriptions, draft documents, secure signatures and notarization, and ensure payment and public recording.
β’ Assist in lease negotiations, alerts, payments, W9 concerns, location issues, ownership changes, record research, phone communications, and document preparation.
β’ Support special projects, initiatives, and operations, including vendor and risk management, metrics, reporting, scheduling, communications, research, and customer service.
β’ Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors, customers, property owners, government permit authorities, utilities, and railroads.
β’ Associate degree (or higher) βORβ 2+ years of professional work experience.
β’ 3+ years of experience in Voice, Data, or Video networking.
β’ Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and insurance.
β’ Proven experience in permitting processes.
β’ Technical knowledge in Real Estate Law, Land Surveying, Project Management, GIS, Telecommunications, Engineering, and Construction is preferred.
β’ Ability to rapidly learn and understand complex work, assignments, project documents, standards, plans, and maps.
β’ Capability to manage multiple tasks concurrently, including scheduling, resourcing, tracking, reporting, and closing out projects.
β’ Ability to work both independently and collaboratively while fulfilling cost, time, quality, and productivity expectations.
β’ Proficiency in building and maintaining effective internal and external professional relationships.
β’ Proficient in Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
β’ Familiarity with OneNote, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Access, Project, Clarity, Ariba, SAP, and AutoCAD is advantageous.
β’ Experience with ESRI GIS software, geodatabase maintenance, Python scripting, complex queries, tools, and maps is desirable.
