This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Investigate requirements and obtain permits for utility pole attachments, railroad crossings, and from federal, state, county, and local authorities.
• Prepare applications, negotiate and submit fees, expedite rights, and update as well as finalize records, GIS databases, and maps.
• Perform occasional fieldwork and travel as necessary.
• Define the scope of work, estimate tasks, and create associated tasks.
• Collaborate with professional service vendors to gather data and conduct studies.
• Research local regulations and prepare, negotiate, execute, notarize, record, and maintain easements and right-of-entry agreements.
• Support lease negotiations, monitor alerts, manage payments, address W9 issues, resolve location concerns, handle ownership changes, conduct records research, make phone calls, and prepare documents.
• Engage with internal teams, contractors, customers, property owners, government permit authorities, utilities, and railroads.
• Provide assistance with special projects, initiatives, operations, vendor and risk management, metrics, reporting, scheduling, communication, research, and customer service.
• An Associate degree (or higher) –OR– at least 2 years of professional work experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Voice, Data, or Video networking –OR– at least 6 months of technical internship experience with TDS Telecom.
• Proven experience in permitting is required.
• Technical understanding of Real Estate Law, Land Surveying, Project Management, GIS, Telecommunications, Engineering, and Construction is preferred.
• Capability to learn and understand complex work, assignments, documents, standards, plans, and maps.
• Proficiency in managing, scheduling, resourcing, tracking, updating, reporting, expediting, completing, and closing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Skills in ESRI GIS Software, Python scripting, complex queries, tools, and maps are advantageous.
• Familiarity with OneNote, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Access, Project, Clarity, Ariba, SAP, and AutoCAD is a plus.
