Network Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provides architectural and engineering support for Network Security, focusing on Zscaler ZIA/ZPA, firewall policy management, and segmentation across on-premises, remote, and cloud environments.

• Administers Zscaler ZIA and ZPA platforms, involving policy configuration, rule optimization, and SSL inspection.

• Oversees firewall and proxy rules throughout the enterprise infrastructure, ensuring compliance with Zero Trust segmentation principles.

• Investigates anomalous network traffic and assists the SOC incident response team by analyzing packet flows, proxy logs, and threat intelligence.

• Collaborates with architects and SOC teams to integrate Zscaler telemetry into Microsoft Sentinel.

• Designs secure connectivity models for on-premises, remote, and cloud users utilizing policy-based routing and segmentation.

• Offers escalation support for intricate network security incidents.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or engineering discipline.

• 8-10 years of experience in Network Design & Architecture, with substantial expertise in firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, DMZs, SD-WAN, SASE, and remote access technologies.

• Proficient in designing secure network topologies, network segmentation (both micro and macro), Zero Trust models, and data center architecture.

• Strong understanding of IT/OT Network Segmentation, Zero Trust principles, and industry standards pertaining to network security architecture and governance.

• Security certifications such as CISSP or Cisco Network Security certifications like CCNP or CCIE.

• Exceptional architectural skills with effective communication abilities, capable of creating deliverables for clients.

• Strong analytical skills to identify risks, develop design blueprints, and address complex network security challenges.
