IT Security Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Support the Security and IT Technical Service Desk by handling related tickets.

• Serve as the initial point of contact for user assistance, including investigation, resolution, and referral to TSD or Senior team members.

• Facilitate access control modifications, onboarding automation via SCIM, and user provisioning and deprovisioning.

• Possess strong hands-on experience in configuring and managing Atlassian cloud products such as JIRA, Service Management, and Confluence.

• Perform administrative tasks in Security and IT related to auditing, access management, and user licensing across different departments.

• Address security incidents and investigations, resolving or escalating as necessary.

• Collaborate with Security, IT, and other departments to ensure the secure and ethical implementation of AI systems and data within the organization.

• Investigate, monitor, and review SOC and SIEM alerts and network traffic for any unusual or suspicious activities or security events, acting as a first-level responder.

• Provide escalations to tier 2 and tier 3 SOC teams when needed to aid in the investigation of security events.

• Assist in developing and maintaining documentation for security systems, services, and procedures to fulfill Bitwarden’s security, compliance, and certification requirements, including ISO 27001, SOC2, HIPAA, and GDPR.

• Administer and oversee endpoint protection, security, and data protection using various technologies like Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Mobile Device Management (MDM), Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), DarkOps, and brand protection services.

• Establish and document standardized processes for managing security and IT services while creating secure and hardened system configuration baselines.

• Assist with patching, updates, and overall vulnerability management to ensure that all systems and endpoint devices remain secure and operational with minimal downtime.

• Ability to provide security and IT support aligned with the US East Coast time zone.

• A generalist in Security and IT with previous experience in environments with varied technologies.

• Experience in managing equipment and software for a distributed, remote, and decentralized global workforce.

• Ability to maintain discretion, handle sensitive information, and uphold security best practices.

• Interest in addressing security and IT issues through technical knowledge, assurance, and collaboration.

• A passionate security technocrat who stays updated with trends and new technologies.
