Network Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Product Management, Development, and fellow Engineers to implement and maintain firewall management solutions for internal research and development (R&D).

• Offer technical guidance throughout the application development lifecycle to support products and solutions from various vendors, including firewalls, routers, switches, IPS, proxies, and more.

• Construct and sustain test labs, assist in software design, and provide technical support to developers.

• Aid in the testing of software solutions.

• Collect technical requirements for security device integration by reviewing administrator, user, and command-line interface (CLI) guides.

• Understand the intricacies of security devices and translate that knowledge into a format usable by the application.

• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and developers to plan, design, and integrate software with security devices.

• Establish, manage, and maintain security devices in the test lab for R&D and integration testing.

• Develop and execute test cases to verify proper code functionality.

• Act as a support escalation point for intricate device-integration challenges.

• Create internal knowledge-base documentation for established configurations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• A minimum of 3 years in network design and support.

• Proficiency in Cisco, Check Point, Juniper, and Palo Alto technologies.

• Strong expertise in networking and/or security domains.

• Experience with packet tracing and analysis techniques and tools.

• Familiarity with network security tools such as firewalls, IPS, routers, switches, proxies, etc.

• Knowledge of virtualization technologies and platforms.

• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, presentation, and writing abilities.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, including the capability to fulfill business requirements with technical solutions.

• Willingness to thrive in a fast-paced environment with diverse roles, showcasing high emotional intelligence.

• Experience with regular expressions (Regex).

• Adaptable and able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
