This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate closely with fellow Network TPMs, DWDM engineers, ITDC teams, Network Procurement, and Construction departments to guarantee seamless project implementation.
• Work alongside the site selection team to assess connectivity feasibility and spearhead the technical validation of long-haul wave proposals and dark fiber alternatives.
• Serve as the technical authority on fiber pathway architecture and supervise the design of manhole placements, conduit systems, and site entry points.
• Engage with engineering teams on the design of Point of Entry (POE) and Meet-Me Rooms (MMR).
• Develop and nurture strategic partnerships with regional and Continental ISPs, private dark fiber owners, and utility providers.
• Collaborate with Network Procurement on the RFx process and lead negotiations for IRU agreements and long-term leases.
• Coordinate with fiber owners to obtain necessary rack space, power, and environmental resources within ILA sites.
• Maintain up-to-date internal databases of fiber/connectivity routes, including meticulous management of KMZ/KML files.
• Employ AutoCAD to review, modify, and create plans for site infrastructure and conduit design.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or a closely related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Over 5 years of experience in network infrastructure, OSP planning, or data center connectivity project management.
• Expertise in creating and reviewing site infrastructure/conduit designs.
• Advanced proficiency in utilizing geospatial tools and handling KMZ/KML files.
• Strong understanding of DWDM technology, ILA requirements, and the technical lifecycle of MOFN deployments.
• Proven track record in negotiating complex fiber leases, IRUs, and construction contracts.
• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and external vendors to achieve demanding regional deployment timelines.
