This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the configuration, installation, maintenance, and upgrades of next-generation firewall devices from Fortinet, Cisco, and Palo Alto.

• Support customer-facing networks while collaborating with senior engineers on network expansion, hardware refresh, and connectivity solutions.

• Implement system and network configurations that align with corporate security policies and best practices.

• Provide support for SDWAN, MPLS, wired and wireless Layer 2/Layer 3 connectivity, firewalls, routers, switches, and load balancers.

• Manage the lifecycle of Cradlepoint wireless edge devices via Ericsson NetCloud Manager, including onboarding, provisioning, configuration groups, firmware upgrades, and tracking of licenses.

• Offer break/fix support and change management for Cradlepoint deployments, dealing with LTE/5G WAN troubleshooting, carrier issues, RMAs, and configuration adjustments.

• Deliver multi-layered technical support to customers through Network Operations Center services.

• Identify and resolve potentially service-impacting anomalies, escalating issues when necessary.

• Escalate complex customer concerns while maintaining ownership until resolution.

• Coordinate with customers, vendors, and third-party providers to troubleshoot issues effectively.

• Document issues in the ticketing system and provide timely updates to customers.

• Obtain and maintain relevant technical certifications.

• Adhere to company ethics, values, data-handling procedures, privacy practices, compliance training, and policies.

• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's or University degree in a related field, or equivalent experience of 5+ years in a similar role.

• Strong understanding of the OSI model and hands-on troubleshooting experience using debug commands, packet captures, and routing/path analysis.

• Practical experience with Cisco ASA/Firepower and Cisco Secure Firewall Management Center.

• Hands-on experience with Fortinet FortiGate Firewall and the Fortinet product suite, including Fortinet Access Points and Switches.

• Experience working with Cisco Routers and Switches; familiarity with Cisco Nexus is preferred.

• Knowledge of Juniper EX/QFX switches, routers, and SRX firewalls.

• Familiarity with Palo Alto Firewalls and Panorama.

• Experience in SD-WAN troubleshooting, particularly with FortiGate SD-WAN implementations.

• Experience in deploying and troubleshooting Cradlepoint routers and wireless WAN using Ericsson NetCloud Manager, including LTE/5G troubleshooting.

• Working knowledge of BGP and OSPF with hands-on troubleshooting; exposure to IS-IS is a plus.

• Familiarity with load balancers; experience with F5 LTM/GTM is preferred.

• Exposure to VMware NSX-V and NSX-T is advantageous.

• Understanding of MPLS concepts and troubleshooting.

• Strong troubleshooting experience in Layer 2 and Layer 3 environments.

• Familiarity with AWS networking services, including VPC, Transit Gateway, VPN, Direct Connect, Security Groups, and NACLs, is a plus.

• Exposure to Cloudflare services, including DNS, CDN, WAF, DDoS protection, Zero Trust/Access, and Tunnel, is a plus.

• Excellent customer service, analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, learning agility, and adaptability skills.

• Ability to work across shifts and time zones in a 24/7 operational environment.

• Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto PCNSE, or Cradlepoint certifications are preferred but not mandatory.

• Must have legal eligibility to work in the assigned country without requiring visa sponsorship.

• Ability to perform extended periods of work on a computer, utilizing a keyboard, mouse, office software, and communication tools.

• Capacity to participate in frequent virtual meetings and communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms.

• Willingness to work occasional evenings, nights, weekends, or holidays.
