This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Assist in the daily operations and engineering of networks across enterprise, data center, and lab environments.
• Implement Network Move, Add, and Change (MAC) requests along with other networking operational tasks.
• Conduct network deployments, migrations, configuration alterations, and transitions of infrastructure.
• Aid in network maintenance, lifecycle refreshes, upgrades, and activities aimed at improving infrastructure.
• Diagnose intricate network issues across Layer 2 and Layer 3 environments and determine suitable solutions.
• Carry out scheduled network modifications and cutovers in accordance with established change-management and operational procedures.
• Assist with monitoring, operational transitions, and validation activities following changes.
• Ensure the accuracy of technical documentation, network configurations, procedures, and operational records.
• Adhere to standardized processes for network deployment, maintenance, and operations.
• Recognize and escalate any technical, access, design, or implementation obstacles.
• Complete assigned tasks independently with minimal daily supervision.
• Collaborate remotely with network engineers and technical stakeholders to coordinate implementations and troubleshoot operational challenges.
• Ensure dependable network operations while aiding engineering teams in maintaining capacity for strategic projects and onboarding new services.
• Over 5 years of professional experience in network engineering.
• More than 5 years of expertise in enterprise Layer 2/Layer 3 network engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in supporting network platform operations.
• More than 5 years of experience in executing network changes within production environments.
• Experience in supporting enterprise-scale, data center, or similarly complex network environments.
• Proficient in troubleshooting network infrastructure and resolving operational challenges.
• Experienced in performing network maintenance, upgrades, migrations, or changes to infrastructure.
• Ability to independently carry out assigned network engineering tasks with minimal oversight.
• Familiarity with established procedures for network deployment, change management, and operations.
• Preferred: experience in supporting large-scale enterprise or data center network settings.
• Preferred: experience with lab network infrastructure.
• Preferred: experience in independently managing MAC requests, network deployments, migrations, and cutovers.
• Preferred: experience with network lifecycle management, infrastructure refreshes, and upgrades.
• Preferred: experience in supporting production network environments where reliability and successful changes are crucial.
• Preferred: strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities across complex networking environments.
• Preferred: experience in network monitoring, operational transitions, and post-change validation.
• Preferred: experience in creating and maintaining comprehensive network documentation and operational procedures.
• Preferred: familiarity with highly standardized enterprise network engineering environments and processes.
• Preferred: ability to quickly adapt to existing network architectures, tools, standards, and operational procedures.
