This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Design and implement enterprise network solutions while engineering infrastructure technology to fulfill security, resilience, sustainability, and operational needs.
• Utilize observability, guardrails, and automation for testing and deployment processes.
• Select, develop, and maintain technologies that align with customer requirements, strategic goals, and architectural results.
• Create products employing modern engineering methodologies and tools.
• Collaborate with Product Owners on product roadmaps and their lifecycles.
• Support engineered products by addressing customer feedback, feature requests, production challenges, and consumption needs.
• Design and develop user-friendly, self-service infrastructure products.
• Lead and establish best practices for Cisco and Arista networks.
• Contribute to solutions based on infrastructure-as-code principles.
• Implement design thinking strategies to enhance products.
• Provide operational assistance for issues related to patterns or products.
• Partner with key vendors to deliver infrastructure services and technology.
• Share engineering best practices and offer technical thought leadership.
• Practical experience managing large-scale enterprise network environments with over 10,000 devices.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-grade networks utilizing Cisco and Arista platforms.
• Experience with on-premises Arista Fabric utilizing VxLAN.
• Familiarity with traditional Cisco enterprise deployments.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols, including STP, OSPF, BGP, VxLAN, and EVPN.
• Proficiency in Cisco Meraki solutions, including Dashboard management, MX deployment and administration, site-to-site VPNs, security policies, MS switching, and MR wireless design and troubleshooting.
• Background in a financial services environment, specifically dealing with trader voice infrastructure.
• Capability to respond to and manage business-impacting incidents in high-pressure settings.
• Significant experience with multicast technologies and interoperability between Cisco and Arista VxLAN platforms.
• Experience in agile methodologies across both operations and projects.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage individual tasks within a broader team context.
• Excellent collaborative communication skills for conveying technical concepts to both business and technical audiences.
• Experience with large-scale WAN traffic-engineering policies.
