This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Ensure that industry best practices and methodologies are utilized during the deployment and migration of customer VMWare VeloCloud, firewall, route/switch, and data center networks.
• Offer technical guidance and leadership to both the customer and project management team, ensuring adherence to project timelines.
• Serve as the technical point of contact for the customer, delivering migration and deployment services.
• Collaborate as part of a team to provide implementation and migration planning for both new and existing customer projects.
• Lead all technical efforts to successfully integrate new customers into the platform.
• Provide implementation support, including advanced networking troubleshooting and health management for services transitioning to the managed cloud.
• Play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional customer experience both before and after implementation.
• Responsible for the delivery of network implementation and optimization services as a post-sales engineer for clients.
• Develop or update Low-Level and High-Level designs for data center networks, adhering to industry best practices.
• Support the delivery of network solutions, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other network hardware appliances, including VMWare VeloCloud.
• Oversee and execute upgrades for new and existing equipment, hardware, and software.
• Perform configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware and software managed by customers.
• Monitor network performance and address problem areas as necessary.
• Conduct research on networking products, services, protocols, and standards to stay informed about industry developments.
• Provision for new or existing customers and assist with onboarding.
• Provide support for escalated trouble cases when required.
• Familiarize oneself with the entire environment and implement initiatives to minimize failures, defects, and enhance overall performance.
• Document installations, procedures, and processes for use by other engineers and support staff.
• Availability for on-call support is a requirement of this role.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in deploying and implementing VMWare VeloCloud/SD-WAN, core route/switch, and/or data center networks according to industry best practices.
• Must be passionate, collaborative, and results-oriented, capable of inspiring and fostering high-performing cross-functional relationships to effectively drive change while achieving established goals.
• Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and influence others to ensure successful business initiatives.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present ideas and information.
• Experience with logical network design models (L2/L3, WAN, Network Optimization, Spanning Tree, VFR, VTP, VLANs, physical cabling).
• Working knowledge of network control protocols (QOS, PfR, PoE, NTP, DHCP), network management protocols (CDP, FTP, TFTP, SNMP), and security protocols (SSH, HTTPS, AAA, IPSec).
• Experience with Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine) and Trustsec is preferred.
• Working knowledge of advanced Layer 2 technologies (LISP and VXLAN).
• Understanding of IP communication and routing is essential (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP).
• Familiarity with WAN/LAN and transport technologies (Ethernet, Frame Relay, DMVPN, WAAS, and MPLS).
• Preferred experience in large-scale WAN deployments.
• At least 2 years' experience in WAN (Wide Area Network) is desired.
• Experience in SD-WAN (VeloCloud & Fortinet) implementation and migration is desirable.
• Required firewall experience with managing Fortigate, Cisco, Meraki, and Palo Alto.
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or Fortinet NSE are preferred.
