This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the implementation, operation, and enhancement of Cisco-based network infrastructure, which encompasses core, distribution, access, and edge layers.
• Establish and uphold network security measures in accordance with NIST SP 800-53 and NIST SP 800-207 Zero Trust Architecture.
• Configure and oversee routing, switching, and network services, such as VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs; ensure secure configurations that align with organizational standards.
• Administer 802.1X port-based network access control to enforce authentication at the network perimeter.
• Set up and maintain centralized logging for all network devices; guarantee log forwarding to enterprise SIEM platforms in compliance with retention policies.
• Perform ongoing monitoring and vulnerability assessments of the network infrastructure; coordinate remediation efforts in accordance with NIST RMF.
• Engage in change management processes; keep network diagrams, SOPs, and configuration documentation up to date.
• Act as a technical advisor for complex service desk escalations; collaborate with cloud, Microsoft, and cybersecurity engineering teams.
• Assist in incident response activities, including network-level analysis, containment measures, and forensic data collection.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant experience and certifications may be accepted in place of a degree.
• Professional certifications in network engineering or cybersecurity, maintained continuously for at least 5 years.
• Experience in implementing NIST SP 800-53 and NIST SP 800-207 Zero Trust Architecture within enterprise network settings.
• Expertise in Cisco routing, switching, and firewall platforms; hands-on experience with VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
• Background in implementing and managing 802.1X network access controls.
• Proficient in configuring network device logging and directing logs to enterprise SIEM platforms.
• Cisco CCNP or equivalent certification.
