This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
• Take ownership of the long-term strategy, roadmap, and vision for Network & Data Center services.
• Create scalable service offerings such as NOC, DC Operations, Network Deployment, Smart Hands, Monitoring, SDN, and RAN/Wireless.
• Conduct market and competitive research to remain at the forefront of technology trends including AI Ops, automation, optical, and hyperscale DC frameworks.
• Develop pricing models, delivery frameworks, and cost structures.
• Establish success metrics, SLAs/SLOs, KPIs, and performance standards.
• Collaborate with leadership on P&L management, margin optimization, and growth strategies.
• Identify and assess strategic technology partners, platforms, and tools.
• Serve as the primary subject matter expert (SME) for Networking & Data Center solutions.
• Assist in RFP/RFI/RFQ processes by providing architecture inputs, creating SOW, and estimating LOE.
• Lead customer discovery sessions and technical deep dives.
• Verify proposed solutions for scalability, security, cost efficiency, and operational readiness.
• Work with Sales and Service Delivery Managers to develop account strategies and technical roadmaps.
• Communicate complex solutions to executive stakeholders in clear business language.
• Outline talent profiles, skill matrices, and resource plans to support new service initiatives.
• Create and maintain delivery playbooks, SOPs, runbooks, escalation matrices, and operational workflows.
• Collaborate with delivery leaders to promote operational excellence across all projects.
• Ensure strict compliance with SLA/SLI commitments, MTTR/MTTA targets, and QoS metrics.
• Manage technical escalations; guide teams through root cause analysis (RCA) and service improvement initiatives.
• Advocate for continuous improvement, automation, and tooling enhancements.
• Standardize best practices across global regions including Americas, APAC, and EMEA.
• Participate in quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and monthly operational reviews (MORs) to provide technical oversight and future-state guidance for strategic customers.
• Over 10 years of experience in designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise or hyperscale data centers.
• Extensive knowledge of global network architecture, including routing, switching, firewalls, optical transport, load balancing, wireless, and site interconnect.
• Familiarity with data center physical infrastructure, such as rack/stack, structured cabling, power/cooling, IDF/MDF layouts, and fiber plants.
• Understanding of AI/ML monitoring tools, observability platforms, automation frameworks, CMDB, and ITSM processes.
• Strong grasp of NOC operations, including incident lifecycle, SLO/SLA management, MTTA/MTTR optimization, noise reduction, and escalation models.
• Experience with multisite, globally distributed network design and operations.
• Experience with cloud network integration (AWS, GCP, Azure) is an advantage.
• Preferred certifications include CCNP/CCIE, Data Center Specialist, CDCP/CDCS, or equivalent hyperscale experience.
• Demonstrated experience in leading a technical practice or large service line.
• Exceptional pre-sales, client-facing, and executive communication abilities.
• Capable of guiding cross-functional teams across architecture, delivery, PMO, and operations.
• Expertise in developing structured processes, documentation, and operational playbooks.
• Strong business and financial understanding, including margin management, labor models, utilization, and resource planning.
• Ability to coach and mentor technical teams, fostering capability and career pathways.
