📋 Description

• Celestar, a subsidiary of B&A Company, is seeking a Data Governance & Metadata Scientist to support a significant mission.

• This position offers the chance to collaborate with an exceptional team while providing support to SOUTHCOM.

• Your responsibilities will include the development, implementation, and maintenance of data governance frameworks.

• You will ensure consistency in metadata, track lineage, and facilitate interoperability among the Data Lake, ESRI Kubernetes environments, and external data sources.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to create, implement, and sustain data governance frameworks, guaranteeing metadata consistency, lineage tracking, and interoperability across Data Lake, ESRI Kubernetes environments, and external data sources.

• Applicants should be proficient in metadata management, data lineage tracking (Unity Catalog/OpenLineage), schema alignment, and best practices in governance.

• A strong understanding of geospatial data standards, data cataloging, and compliance with DoD metadata policies is essential.

• Proven experience in executing metadata governance frameworks for both structured and unstructured data in cloud environments is required.

• Responsibilities include tracking data lineage and ensuring metadata synchronization among a Data Catalog, ESRI Kubernetes, and enterprise metadata repositories.

• Familiarity with tools such as OpenLineage, Apache Atlas, or similar platforms for managing metadata and data lineage is necessary.

• Candidates must uphold compliance with DoD metadata policies and NSG tradecraft standards pertaining to geospatial datasets.
