Network Acquisition Manager

📋 Description

• Lead the negotiation and acquisition of Transport, Transit, Caching, and Private LAN services, acting as the strategic vendor lead to facilitate commercial agreements and guarantee effective, resilient network capacity delivery.

• Cultivate and enhance relationships with commercial partners such as telecommunications firms, network carriers, and colocation operators to manage the acquisition of leased assets.

• Negotiate and establish new commercial agreements that ensure predictable and efficient delivery of third-party assets to fulfill GFiber’s business requirements. Additionally, draft and execute new orders with existing providers under current agreements.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine capacity needs and develop resilient leased infrastructure solutions, which includes preparing infrastructure drawings, SOWs, and other documents that clearly outline the technical scope.

• Identify, assess, and acquire metro dark fiber assets and bandwidth services. In certain instances, you may need to design and construct a new infrastructure solution through collaborative projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Law, or equivalent practical experience.

• A minimum of 7 years of program management experience overseeing networking projects with cross-functional teams.

• At least 5 years of experience in developing and managing network infrastructure programs, which includes vendor management, contract negotiation, and the acquisition of network infrastructure assets such as dark fiber, bandwidth, and colocation space and power.

• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time domestically.
