Nepali to English Translator/Editor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Translate and edit essential records, legal documents, official certificates, and academic transcripts for a client within the U.S. government.

• Conduct translation and/or editing from Nepali to English or English to Nepali.

• Operate remotely on a continuous basis as a freelance independent contractor.

• Accept assignments as required and adhere to one- to two-day deadlines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen residing in the USA.

• Native proficiency in Nepali and near-native proficiency in English.

• Bachelor's degree in translation or a comparable qualification.

• A minimum of two to five years of demonstrated experience as a translator and/or editor.

• Dependable, capable of meeting deadlines, and highly efficient.

• Collaborative team player with outstanding communication abilities.

• Must have access to current Windows software.

• Strong formatting skills are essential.

• Comfortable working with one- to two-day deadlines.

• Able to provide per-word rates for translation, editing, or both services.

• Willingness to accept assignments as necessary.

• Must consent to a Tier 1 background investigation, including fingerprinting.
